Relationship difficulties

Are relationships causing difficulties in your life? Read on…

How relationship difficulties work

We spend much of our time interacting with each other and therefore in relationships, eg: with family members, friends, work colleagues, clients, social groups, etc. Disharmonious relationships with anyone can have a lasting effect on us, however, when we experience conflict with someone close to us it can have a profound impact on our emotional wellbeing.

When our relationships are out of balance we can become out of balance. You may feel a sense of burden, guilt, shame or sadness about a person or you might feel that you are being controlled by someone, or feel a sense of duty or responsibility towards another. Sometimes these feelings may persist even after the relationship has ended, or even after the other person has died.

It may be difficult to express your feelings towards another person for fear of damaging the relationship or out of a duty to protect them. However, if the feelings are kept inside for too long they find a way of expressing themselves, often at inappropriate times.

How I work with relationship difficulties

I can work with you to help you understand your feelings towards the other person/s and how that is impacting on you.

You will have the opportunity to express your feelings towards the other person in a confidential space, where you can talk to the other person as if they were in the room but without any fear of damaging the relationship.

I will listen to what you say and notice how your body responds when you express your thoughts, feelings and attitudes. We will work together to safely release emotions that are physically retained and stored in the body.

The aim of this journey is to find a different perspective on the person and or relationship. Together we can work to help you achieve a more positive attitude towards yourself and your relationship.
